We ran across dad’s old World War II log book he kept during flight training in 1943 and 1944.  It makes interesting reading and the way we acquired it is interesting too.  Mary Ann, Larry, Judy, and I were cleaning out mom and dad’s house in Texas and held a big yard sale.  We sold a small file cabinet to an out-of-town guy and got a call a few hours later.  He had found a log book and a few other items that had fallen behind one of the drawers and offered to send it back to us!  Nice guy.

The whole thing is interesting and tells where dad attending flight training, when, and what he flew and where.  He was at Santa Ana, Visalia, Gardner Field, Ft Sumner, and Randolph Field.  The entry from Feb 1945 is an interesting one.Mom and Grandma go for a ride
